Sam-Il is the name given to the historically significant date of March 1, 1919, in Korea. On this day, the Korean independence movement was established.

The 33 movements represent the 33 patriots who began the struggle.

The 33 core members of the liberation movement signed a declaration of independence on March 1, 1919. This declaration sparked protests across the country against Japanese rule; however, everything was violently suppressed.
